SPOT Manager is a program to forward news, email, and RSS feeds to your watch. It now supports multiple profiles, and a large degree of user customization. It is written in Java 1.5, and runs on many different operating systems.

Current Version: Release 1.2

Quick Downloads
Windows
Linux
Mac (Experimental)

Requirements
To run SPOT Manager, you will need the following:

1. A package of SPOT Manager for your platform (Most users should choose Windows), available from the top of this page.
2. The latest version of Java (1.5 or greater), available from http://www.java.com (Apple users should go to Apple's website)
3. A SPOT watch.
4. The MSNDirect “Smart Plus” plan for your watch, this is the ~$60/year plan available from MSNDirect.com
5. A computer that is turned on, and connected to the Internet for whenever you want SPOT Manager running and forwarding information to your watch.

Note: Windows Vista users may need to run the program as an Administrator for the update program to function correctly.

If you meet all of these requirements, proceed with installing the SPOT Manager package for your platform. On Windows, this is as simple as double-clicking the setup file that you downloaded.

Mac users should extract the files and start the program via command line. On Linux, extract the SPOT Manager archive and run the start.sh script from a command line with the command “./start.sh”.

After that, please look at the online documentation below for a detailed explaination on how to setup your account and use SPOT Manager.

Contacting the Author
SPOT Manager was written primarily by Jake Poznanski, with some minor code contributions by other enthusiasts. Much inspiration was taken from Ted Cannelongo’s work with DirectPOP (The first ever 3rd party SPOT program), as well as from ‘sobrien’s RSS forwarding ideas. I would like to also thank everyone at SpotStop.com, as well as the Microsoft SPOT Team!
